About ovido

Built for people doing the actual work

We're a small team in Helsinki — engineers, compliance leads, and former apparel operators, building software for the textile industry. Our job is to make product data, supplier management, and DPPs something you stop thinking about.

Why we built ovido

The textile industry makes products that billions of people wear every day and still runs on spreadsheets, legacy systems and email threads. We believe that's not a people problem. It's a tooling problem.

Ovido exists to give textile teams the infrastructure they've always deserved. Product data, supplier compliance, Digital Product Passports - all managed from one place, automated where it should be, simple enough that you actually use it.

We want to be the last tool you need alongside your store.

You only need Shopify and Ovido to run your textile business.

How we work

Three things we believe in

01

Built for textile, not retrofitted.

Variants, BOMs, materials, ratios, supply chains — modelled the way real textile teams actually work. Not a generic PIM with a fashion skin.

02

Lumi as a teammate, not a chatbot

An agent that does the thing. Sends the email. Files the certificate. Re-asks on day two. We're proud of how little our customers talk to it.

01

Less chasing, more shipping.

Every feature has to answer the same question: does this remove a manual task from our users? If not, we don't build it.

Our founding team.

Suvi Haimi
Co-founder
Suvi co-founded Ovido in 2024 to give manufacturers and brands a smarter, simpler way to manage product and supply chain data in an era of rising compliance demands. She holds an MSc in Biochemistry and a PhD in Medical Biomaterials from the University of Tampere. Before Ovido, she co-founded and previously served as CEO of Sulapac, a material innovation company on a mission to save the world from plastic waste. A scientist-turned-entrepreneur with a rare mix of academic, industrial, and entrepreneurial expertise, Suvi has become a leading voice in Europe's startup ecosystem. At Ovido, she's focused on turning regulatory complexity from the EU's Digital Product Passport to ESPR, into a competitive advantage for the brands and manufacturers she works with.
Antti Toponen
Co-founder
Antti co-founded Ovido in 2024 after a career as a lawyer, having previously worked in the M&A team at Hannes Snellman. He started Ovido from practical frustration, having seen first-hand how difficult it was to collect and manage sustainability and compliance-related data across supply chains in a previous company. His legal background gives him a sharp read on where EU regulation is heading, and he's focused on helping manufacturers turn compliance requirements into structured, actionable product data. As he puts it, "regulatory compliance is just the starting point" once that data is structured and centralized, it becomes a real driver of sustainability, transparency, and profitability.
André Praça
Co-founder
André co-founded Ovido in 2024, bringing deep product engineering experience to the team. Before Ovido, he worked at Zalando and Smartly.io, where he built and scaled technology for some of Europe's fastest-growing tech companies. At Ovido, André leads the engineering behind the platform that helps manufacturers and brands automate product data, compliance, and traceability, turning regulatory complexity into something simple and actionable.
Loredana Moimas
Co-founder
Loredana co-founded Ovido in 2024 to help fashion and consumer brands turn growing regulatory demands into real business value. She studied at Università degli Studi di Trieste and is based in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area. Today, she's one of the most visible faces of Ovido in the European fashion industry. representing the company at events like Copenhagen Fashion Week and Pitti Immagine, and working directly with brands such as North Sails, Makia, and Luhta to show how Digital Product Passports can become part of a brand's real value story, not just a compliance checkbox.
Tuomas Rinkineva
Co-founder
Tuomas co-founded Ovido in 2024 to make product and supply chain data simple, affordable, and accessible for businesses of every size. Before Ovido, he led core product development at Smartly, the world's leading marketing automation company. Today, he leads Ovido's product vision, working closely with fashion and manufacturing brands across Europe to make compliance, traceability, and Digital Product Passports radically easier to manage.
